You might have noticed that this internet marketing blog seldom has the updates to it that it once had.

The reason why this is the case is actually quite simple. I am usually busy now with the main Yearn2earncash.com website.

And in particular at the moment, it is the brand new blog on the site that takes most of my concentration. That new blog will be were all of the content that was originally intended for here will end up.

At the moment I have several other "Blog type sites" which provide free access to information. My intention is to leave all of these as they are, but simply no longer update them and instead provide all of my content in just one location - the blog on my own website.

It’s best to have all my information in the one location so that people do not have to scour the entire internet looking for various bits of info.

Plus it avoids the potential of having a blog closed down that you have spent many months of even years creating (Some times you present information on a blog that the providers simply do not like you to present and they choose to close you down without a word of warning - it happens!)

And so, as this is almost certain to be my last blog post, I have to say farewell to some of you, and hope that most of you will continue to look for answers to some of your internet marketing questions at my new Yearn2earncash.com website blog.

A little more information on the importance of manually unsubscribing inactive email subscribers

I recently requested a little clarification on the issue of manually unsubscribing inactive email subscribers from Aweber.

(I sat through a wonderful webinar presentation of using their email management service - which I would strongly recommend anyone who is interested in setting up their own email newsletter service looks into, as its easy to use and there are regular live question and answer webinars to watch)

Of course I already knew the answers, if truth be known, as anyone who has read posts from this blog in the past will know, but it’s always nice to get a straightforward black and white answer which you simply cannot argue with.

There now follows the entire text of my question and official answer from an Aweber representative:

What would you describe as an acceptable rate of email opens? (Obviously the higher the better, of course)

Ideally 100%, however that's obviously not very realistic. This can vary depending on your niche, and your target audience to name a couple factors, so I can’t necessarily say what an acceptable rate is overall, however most customers are happy to see that 50% of their list is opening their messages.

Also, how can you track the open rate if people are using plain text messages.

We primarily track opens by our customers sending an HTML version of their message, however if a subscriber is signed up using an email address that only accepts plain text, we may not be able to track if they opened, unless they clicked on a link in the message, since that would obviously mean that they opened the message.

Finally would you agree that it is best to manually unsubscribe those that never open your emails.

First, it is a good idea to try an reengage inactive subscribers before merely deleting them, because you never know how many inactive subscribers would become active if they were asked for feedback. Ultimately, if subscribers are not responding to your attempts to reengage them, then it is a good idea to remove them, since they may forget that they signed up and possibly register a spam complaint against your messages. So as you can see from the above support ticket, which I would hope Aweber would not mind me making public, there are times when you do just have to "get rid" of those email subscribers that do not want your content anymore!

As I said at the start of this post, Aweber would be an excellent choice for you if you plan on starting your own email marketing campaign, because as you have just seen, you will get a truthful answer when you need it.

Site SEO - Improve your websites position with search engine optimization information

Follow this site SEO information to improve your websites position in the search engines search results listings.

Much of the information I have learned and shared here has come from Brad Callens SEO made easy, and the new product is Brad Callens SEO Elite.

One of the most important factors with your sites position in the search engines is the links that point to it. More precisely, the text in the actual link pointing to your site.

The text that is linked to your site is called "anchor text", and whatever you want to make your site about would be the perfect text to be linked to your site.

For example with my Yearn2earncash.com website, I want to rank high in the search engines whenever people search for "make extra money online". So what I do is get as many links as I can coming into the website with the linked text being "make extra money online".

Below is the HTML code for a perfect link to my websites homepage:
(If it shows up)

The above as a link would be in bold ("font-weight: bold;"), would open in a new window from wherever the link is placed (" target="_blank">) and would even show the phrase "Make extra money online" above the mouse when someone goes to click it (" title="Make extra money online")

I think most people prefer to have links going away from their site opening in a new window, so that there site remains open in the background. For this reason I always like to write the code this way so that this is what happens.

It's a great way to encourage more people to link to me.

You can also use this technique of opening links in new windows even if the link is placed on a page that you control, so that more of your content remains open to the visitor.

So step one is to get links to your site with the correct text in place. If those links come from quality sites, then all the better, as links that come from those sites that are FFA's (free for all) or Link exchange sites are basically worthless.

Good links to get include links from Article sites, Press Release sites, YouTube and other video sharing sites, writing blogs, blog commenting, social sites and even classified ads sites etc.

Having messages including links to your site blasted out to all of the social networking/bookmarking sites is a great way of encouraging traffic by getting your message out there and getting a little extra link juice.

Exchanging links with quality sites on the same subject as yours (known as authority sites) is also really beneficial to SEO.

So do as much as you can to create links from those types of sites, and you will be well on your way to ranking high in the search engines.

Try this interesting test if you still wonder just how important anchor text is in regards to linking high in the search engines:

Type "click here" (without the quotes) into Google. The top result returned is the Adobe website. How mad is it that a website that does not even have the words click here any where on it, can rank at the top for a keyword search of that phrase?

Over the years everyone that linked to the free PDF reader on the Adobe website has simply used the words "click here" for the text of their link, which now means that the search engines consider Adobe to be a good result to show for a search of that phrase.

Next lets move on to the slightly more advanced things you can do to improve your websites position in the search engines.

These are known as "Onpage factors" (whereas incoming links are all "Offpage factors")

You should use your keywords (The text that describes what you want to rank high for) all over your page. Obviously don't go mad with it (known as keyword stuffing!), but make sure that your keywords appear several times within the text on your page.

(If writing a blog post then make sure that your keywords appear several times within the actual blog post)

The keywords should also appear within the Title Meta tag, the description Meta tag and obviously the keywords Meta tag.

As well as using those exact words and phrases, you might also want to consider using similar words and phrases in the above places.

Additionally consider using words and phrases that also get used in articles that use your words and phrases.

You can find out all of these by doing a keyword search using Google's free keyword tool.

I don't want to go too complex here, but this type of clever SEO is known as LSI (Latent semantic indexing) and is believed to be important to Google and the other search engines in terms of ranking high in the results pages.

Personally, I just stick with my exact keywords and a couple of similar meaning keywords throughout each of my pages, and it hasn't done me any harm - page one on Google for several of my intended search terms!

Keywords are also very important to you in terms of the images you use on your pages. You might wonder how Google knows what an image is, but the answer comes back to keywords.

Anytime you upload an image anywhere, you should make sure that the actual Gif or Jpg file is named with your exact text that you want to rank highly for.

This helps the search engines know what the image is. I always make sure that I name my images with the keyword phrase I want to rank for, plus I use the same phrase for the alternate text and Title (AKA Tooltip).

This all helps to persuade the search engines that you page really is focused on a specific subject, especially if all of the images you use are even named accordingly.

Another benefit is that people doing an image search using a search engine can find your image and click on it to go visit your website.

(Having a Domain name with a few keywords in it helps out a lot too! So make sure you are sure what you want before you go ahead and buy your Domain.)

All of what I have written above has really helped me to boost my page in the search engines results pages.

Traffic Zombie Viral marketing, viral traffic generation service review

Yes the Traffic Zombie system is good, but without a little effort it can be a bit complicated to implement it fully.

I will try and give you a better more detailed answer in order for you to try and decide if such a service is right for you.

Put simply, Traffic Zombie does work when it comes to getting people to post, tweet and link to you/about you in return for something.

However, you still have to promote the page that your offer is on, so that people can find it, and then actually enter those posts tweets and links.

In other words, Traffic Zombie is not a magic bullet solution to your problems, and unless you "get the word out" about your offer page to begin with, no one will find it to start the ball rolling.

I can get the tweet and Facebook posts that I want from this service, but if truth be known I have not promoted the offer enough, and so its too soon to give you any exact information about how effective this is in terms of SEO to my website, but so far I am very happy with my purchase of the service.

I believe once I start to promote the offer more that enough people will find it to really start the viral traffic effect that I was looking for.

Just to let you know, I was using the Traffic Zombie service with my giveaway of a Free Guide To Clickbank Called Clickbank Confidential.
If you take a look at the page you can see what I have done so far with it, but it's so much more customizable that I believe that someone that puts in more effort with it can make a page that really encourages people to give you their links.

Another piece of information that would be useful to you regarding the Traffic Zombie service if you plan to promote it as an affiliate is my initial experience as I purchased it.

I actually took great care to purchase this service through the affiliate link of the person that helped to explain things to me.

After I made the purchase I emailed them through YouTube to thank them for their help and informed them that I had indeed bought the program.

One last point regarding usability, is that although it does seem little complicated to setup your first campaign, that is only because there is so much that can be done within the service to provide you with excellent SEO benefits.

Once you have watched the help video, and got started creating your first campaign the service really is not that difficult to get to grips with.

Even though I have only one campaign up and running, I have edited it a few times, just to really tweak it to perfection, and I know that setting up another would now be fairly easy.

My point being the more you login and use the service, the easier it gets to go through the process of creating campaigns that help you create viral traffic.

How to make a website with a private members area

Would you like to make a website with a private members area?

That's easy with Coffeecup Password Wizard.

There's no sales pitch in this message, (I'm not even a member of their affiliate scheme - yet!) just some really useful free information that can get you up and running in minutes.

Coffeecup Password Wizard makes this whole process feel really easy, which is very important when you first try to make a website.

Describing the process quite simply, all you need to do to make a website that's password protected with a private members area is to create a login box with the Password Wizard software.

After you have done this the next step is for you to create all of the pages that you want kept secret, which is quite easy and my YouTube video can show you How To Make A Website (at least a basic webpage anyway, which is the start of a website) and insert code.

Then you just add the JavaScript code which Coffeecup Password Wizard creates after you create your login box to all of those pages.

Finally, once you have all of your pages (and any other website content) created, all you will need to do is use a FTP program (Like Filezilla, my personal favourite) to upload all the files to your websites webspace. My other YouTube video on using The Filezilla FTP Program should be able to help you there too.

No one will be able to access your pages (even if they should later find out the actual URL's of your pages) without first going through the login procedure of entering the username and password that you create for them.

You can even create unique usernames and passwords for each individual user if you like; although it works just as well if you only create the one username and password combination and just give that to those who you would like to allow website access to.

Now you might not like the idea of only having the one username and password combination for everyone, but it does save you from extra work. Plus it's really easy to just change the password once per month, thus preventing those who previously had access from being able to look at your website password protected pages again.

In fact it's so easy to change your usernames and passwords that you could change them as often as you like. Just don't forget to let everyone know what the new username and password is, because if you do they will not be able to look at your wonderful website!

How to make your own website

Sorr for the long wait without a post, but I have been busily building up products and information for all of my subscribers. Hopefully from now on I can deliver a much more constant stream of news just for my loyal readers here.

How to make your own website

If you do want to build your own website, I firmly believe that you should start out with a free program called Kompozer. This is a WYSIWYG HTML editor.

In other words you can actually build your own webpage on your pc the easy and see what it will look like long before you ever actually put it onto the internet.

You do not need to know any HTML coding or anything else fancy, you simply click and point, and copy and paste.

I have a very basic Kompozer video on my YouTube channel that might help you get started with some of its basic points, but you will soon get the hang of it.

After you have created a webpage that you like (and remember that a website is just loads of individual WebPages linked together in various ways) you will probably want to look into various domain names and also hosting packages available online.

My advice would be to use the same company to purchase your domain name and also to purchase your hosting package from, just to make sure if there are ever any difficulties when people try to access your website, you know that there is only one company out there you have to deal with.

This bit may sound obvious, but I will tell you it anyway, the domain name is what people enter to get to your website, and the hosting package is simply the amount of space you have for all of the files your website needs (your WebPages, images, videos and audio files)

An easier option really might be to buy the domain name and then use something like wordpress to "create" your website for you. You will no doubt see many websites that have a personal domain name yet appear to be a blog, and the reason for this is because it's so much simpler to get started this way.

Speaking frankly though, I don't consider this option to be as customizable as the option of creating your own site from scratch, and I just don't think that these type of sites are as personal either.

Still, as you can see you do have a couple of options available to you here.

Next would be the topic of your website, and for this you really need to consider what are your own personal interests, as I believe that whatever truly interests you will be the easiest thing to keep on plugging away with during those times when everything does not appear to be working.

Whatever area of life you choose to make a website about, and a simple google keyword search tool might let you know if enough people are even searching for what you are considering offering, the next part will be true.

Your website could either be free to access with adverts for related products and services throughout the pages (the best option) or have a charge connected with it for a monthly membership/access fee.

The adverts could come from Clickbank products or elsewhere, anything that you consider to be a worthy product and that you can create an affiliate link for.

(Might I suggest you try FREE CBProads for an easy way of getting Clickbank products advertised on your website or blog, another video on my Youtube channel shows how to make money on clickbank without a website)

Once you have everything online, you are quite right that you need a way to get traffic to it. Getting more traffic is a whole new massive subject in itself, and beyond one simple email but things such as writing articles, press releases, blog comments and making YouTube videos are all great ways of getting people over to your blog.

Again the many videos on The Yearn2earncash YouTube channel can help you with that, and give you far more ideas that can be mentioned here.

Inactive email subscriber deletions completed

In a previous post I stated that I would be deleting all those email subscribers on my list that were deemed to be inactive.

An inactive email subscriber is one that no longer has any interest in the emails that you are sending them, yet for some reason refuses to unsubscribe from your list, perhaps for fear that they might just miss out on an email that is of interest to them.

So instead of unsubscribing from your email autoresponder account, they simply delete every email you send them for months on end, without ever opening any of them.

Unfortunately, when they keep on deleting all your emails without opening them, the ISP's begin to form the opinion that the emails you send out are spam.

It then becomes more and more difficult to get your messages sent out to the email subscribers that do want to receive your emails, as each of your messages will likely be dumped into their spam folder rather than their inbox.

It was because of this that I took the decision to manually unsubscribe and remove all those that had been on my email subscriber list for longer than three months without opening a single email.

The figures are actually quite shocking, and make for serious reading. They are also a possible reflection of how my content may not be closely targeted enough to the interest of my subscribers (although as stated previously in other posts, my content has not changed since they signed up, so they should just unsubscribe if truly not interested)

Nearly 30% of my entire email list had to be unsubscribed for being an inactive email subscriber. Their email addresses were then manually deleted from my Aweber autoresponder account altogether.

This is something that everyone should do if found to be in a similar position, no matter how drastic an action it might appear to be.

Those remaining are being offered webspace on the site for their own page and files such as rebrandable ebooks.

The deletion of inactive subscribers begins

Last time I posted about my plans to delete inactive email list subscribers from my Aweber autoresponder account.

Well, this is just a quick post to let everyone know that I am about to start this process, and that my last post was not just talk.

If you too have an email list that has become unresponsive you must take the same radical action as myself rather than allow it to damage your emails lists reputation.

As stated previously, the less that your emails are opened by your subscribers, the more likely it is that ISP's will consider your emails to be spam, and will therefore start sending your messages straight to the spam folders, decreasing anyone’s chance of ever finding them again.

This starts a vicious circle of emails being sent and never read; only making things worse with every email that is sent out.

Once your reputation is damaged, it can be impossible (apart from starting a whole new autoresponder account) to ever recover and you will be labelled a spammer forever!

My plan to reward those who have remained a contributing member to my website community is also in full swing, now that additional webspace has been made available to members for the creation of their very own page on the yearn2earncash.com website.

Another update after the deletion has been completed will be made in the next few days, along with figures detailing the percentages of deletions and other information that may be of use to others.

What you can do to increase your email open rate

Last time we discussed the problems caused by your subscribers not opening your emails on a regular enough basis (at least one email out of every 3 months is a set period of time that most marketers use).

The main problem being that ISP's will believe your message to spam if your subscribers’ receive it but just delete it without opening it.

I have this problem myself, after checking my Aweber autoresponder account stats to see which subscribers open my emails, and which are simply "dead wood" so to speak.

I have realised that I must delete some of them manually, as they will not even open the email that tells them they will be unsubscribed if they do not open more of my emails.

You could argue that the fault lies with me for not sending them the type of content that they are interested in receiving.

My argument to that would be that I have never changed the type of content that I sent out, so many of them would have been aware from the very outset of exactly which type of content they would be receiving, giving them ample time to unsubscribe, rather than continually receiving emails they have no interest in.

But I do take the hint that I should put more effort into sending out content that is most appreciated by my subscribers, and will endeavour to do so in future.

We must now turn our attention to encouraging subscribers to open emails we send out. We can do this by offering content only to those that open our emails (simply making the content available only by email, and not making the content available from the website or anywhere else for that matter!)

This might seem to many people to be a bribe to get them to open your email - and in a sense it is. But this is necessary to prevent further damage to the reputation of your website.

My offering to those that continue to be a part of my website community by opening my emails will be a free page on my website yearn2earncash.com, plus an amount of webspace for hosting their own files.

With a website that ranks fairly well in the search engines for certain keyword phrases, there will likely be a desire amongst your subscribers to get a free page upon it.

When a subscriber knows they can have their own files hosted there for them (like rebranded money making eBooks’) they will likely see the benefits of being involved with such a project, and will want to remain a part of your website community.

Naturally they can only do so by continuing to open your emails and maintain the spirit that others have for your website community.

So if you have difficulty getting subscribers to open your emails them send them offers for content and services that they can only access by opening your emails.

And if this still doesn’t get through to them - then you must delete them without a second glance, as they are costing your business more than they know.

They can always come back if they really do miss the benefits of your website; otherwise you are probably best off without them anyway!

THE IMPORTANCE OF UNSUBSCRIBING INACTIVE EMAIL LIST SUBSCRIBERS

As crazy as this is going to sound to you, it’s actually very important that you make the decision to manually delete those on your email list that do not open your emails.

I actually have recent personal experience of the problems that can be caused by not doing so, and so I can write this with an even higher degree of confidence than will appear in most of my other posts.

Let’s start from the very beginning. Someone searches the internet either for information, or possibly just for fun.

Eventually they find themselves on your website or blog (or any number of places where you have placed a sign up form for your email list) and decide they are interested in hearing more from you, so they enter that all important name and email address.

They then start receiving all of your broadcast email messages, regardless of how interested they really are in the contents of those messages.

Some unsubscribe pretty quickly (this has happened to me sadly, due largely to my content not being targeted closely enough to my audience!)

Other people continue to subscribe to your emails and actually like to read your content, even occasionally buying products or services that you recommend (sadly I still do not have enough of these types of subscribers to retire to that luxury apartment overlooking Malibu beach yet!)

Unfortunately, there is a third type of subscriber. These are the people that do not unsubscribe from your list, but never open a single message either, usually just deleting them on the spot. It is this type of subscriber that is actually causing you a whole lot of problems!

Bizarrely, with the way the spam filters work, it would be better for you if these people would just unsubscribe from you email list. ISP's actually monitor which messages people open and which they just delete, so as to do a better job at deleting spam before it reaches the inbox.

Obviously your messages are not spam - but it’s easily understandable how an ISP could make that mistake if your subscriber just keeps deleting your message without reading it.

Even if your subscriber is using outlook express (or some other email reader client) to read your message, this will still mark a message as read once they have opened it. And if they don’t open it, then it will not get marked as read, so when they then delete it with their email reader client, the ISP is more inclined to consider your message as spam.

So as you can see, it’s very important to either get your subscribers to start opening your messages again, or simply to unsubscribe them yourself after a set period of time has elapsed without them opening your messages.

This is actually something I am in the process of doing myself, as I know that there are now ISP's out there that believe my messages to be spam.

You see the more that ISP's mark your messages as spam; the less likely these messages are to be read by future subscribers, making your online business even more difficult to run successfully.

It can be difficult enough as it is to get subscribers to follow any white listing instructions you give them to tell ISP's that the messages are not spam, without the added pressure of more and more new subscribers deleting your messages because they have ended up in their spam folder without them realising it.

So be brave and manually unsubscribe those that do not open your messages for months on end. More on this next time.

YouTube Video Marketing: Part 3 - ADULT Videos

Part 3 of making money with ADULT YouTube videos.

Thank goodness for that, I’m sick of writing about this.

Although it’s true that these types of videos get very high numbers of view on YouTube, and because of this they are excellent to draw in people, it’s not really something that you would want to get involved with.

One possible concern is what would you sell them? The product would have to be something targeted to this type of viewer.

You could just advertise any old product to them and a few would buy it, but the vast majority would simply not be interested in "normal" products.

So if you can’t sell "normal" products to them, what can you sell them? It would have to be products related to dating and sex!

Let’s face it - do you want these types of videos on your YouTube account, advertising these types of products? I very much doubt it, because neither do I.

Videos that contain certain "tags" (words describing the content of the video) get the highest view numbers on YouTube.

You can probably guess which tags result in the highest view numbers, but for those of you that somehow still don’t know what I’m talking about, any video that is about attractive females (especially more than one!), females dancing and other such activity, will result in a very high view number indeed!

There are even YouTube users that will upload a non adult orientated video, but use adult sounding tags and video name, just to get a high view count.

A famous video with a high view count was simply about a guy eating a bag of crisps (potato chips) for ten full minutes without saying a word to the camera!

You might think that sounds like a good idea, but let me just give you a word of caution regarding this. YouTube state that you should not use false tags in their terms and conditions.

If you state that a video is about something, then that is what it should be about. You run the risk of them closing down your account if you do this type "video traffic jacking"

If you would like to take advantage of the traffic that these huge viewer numbers represent, then you would have to make a second YouTube account (with another email address) upload the correct type of video, and keep the new YouTube account completely separate from your other account.

(Even the way you run your two YouTube accounts would have to be different, so as not to arouse suspicion that the two accounts are run by the same person.)

You could add affiliate links to the actual video (across the screen using windows movie maker) as an actual clickable link to the description of your video (using the full http to get the clickable link) or even add the link to your YouTube channel so that visitors can get to the link from there.

All of this may make some of you feel uncomfortable, and you may not feel that this is the type of thing you want to be involved with.

That’s perfectly understandable and I am glad that this is the final email about this area of making money online, and we can move in to something else in the next email.

Youtube money making: How using ADULT videos makes money

Part two of my YouTube marketing tactics regarding ADULT videos

I know you have quite a lot to think about in terms of making money from your YouTube channels, but there are further subtle (and not so subtle!) tactics that can be employed in making money from these types of YouTube videos.

Some of you might be frankly amazed that this type of content is even available on YouTube, but although it is softened down quite a lot, there are people uploading it, people watching it - and more importantly for you, people that are making money from it!

Here is something you might consider doing (at your own risk, and without any encouragement from me!)

What you might want to do is split any videos you have into two different parts. One part (the short part!) would be content that is considered suitable for a YouTube audience. The other part of the video would be all the rest of the clip that would be unsuitable for YouTube.

As you know YouTube only allow content of certain strength to be uploaded to their site.

The larger clip you could place into a zip file (and upload it to a free file host) along with a rebranded eBook on sex tips (this benefits you as any purchases made from the rebranded eBook would go through your affiliate link, thus earning you commission)

Alternatively, instead of the eBook, you could simply place a URL shortcut to an affiliate link, or even an HTML page that includes affiliate links to many adult sites into that zip file.

Then anyone interested in this type of stronger content might be tempted to follow one of the links within that HTML page, and if they spend any money on the adult site, then you again would make a commission from the sale.

You could link to all sorts of products actually, even to Clickbank products on sex and dating in general. There are lots of these types of products on Clickbank that make affiliates a lot of money.

It does not just have to be Clickbank either; you could try products from commission junction and lots of other places.

Your only potential problem might be finding a free file host that allows you to upload content to them that contains porn within the file - but then again how would they know about it!? And would you even care if they closed down your free account as long as you had made some money from it!?

I would suggest a free file host like mediafire, but they expressly forbid the uploading of pornographic in their acceptable use policy.

Hope this extra info helps you (if some of you decide on your own bat to try it, without my encouragement!) and next time we will move on to some more wholesome methods of marketing!

Youtube money maker: How you can profit from Youtube

I have been contacted by someone on YouTube regarding unique ways of making money from videos. From a certain type of video, if you know what I mean. You probably do know what I mean, but I must try and be slightly clearer.

The person wanted to know how they might use the power of visitor numbers to adult videos on YouTube to make an income.

YouTube is not actually a place for adult videos, as they state in their terms and conditions, but then it depends on exactly how adult the video you intend to upload actually is.

Let’s simply leave it as its safe enough to upload a part of your video to YouTube, provided the section that you upload does not contain any really adult bits!

Is everyone still with me? You know what I’m saying. And now to what I told the YouTube member they should do.

All they would need to do is become an affiliate of some of the more popular sex sites, and then simply add your affiliate link to the text description of their video (and possibly somewhere on their actual YouTube channel, just to further persuade the tempted to click the link!).

They would do this by first choosing to edit their video in YouTube, and then simply copying and pasting their affiliate link within the description box along with some text promising to send them somewhere where there is content that is beyond YouTube’s control.

(This would be enough to get those tempted to sneak a peak at this sort of content to click upon that link, and hey presto - you have a potential commission!)

You would be surprised how many of the viewers of those types of video will go on to click upon your affiliate link and visit the other adult site, thereby making you money if they spend anything at that website.

If you already have such a video on YouTube that has gained massive numbers of views, but you do not have any affiliate links within the text description box - then just imagine how much money you could have made!

But these types of money making opportunities don’t end there. In fact the chance to charge for someone else’s link to be placed in your description box is a real possibility.

As is actually selling your YouTube account altogether and creating a whole new account from scratch. It would be well worth it if you could get a nice offer for your old channel!

But when you consider the amount of commissions you stand to make from those clicking on your affiliate links, you will make far more money placing in your own affiliate links, rather than simply doing it for those that offer you a payment to do it.

Frankly speaking, anyone would be a fool to sell their YouTube account if they had content that could draw in such numbers of views.

If you do have an account such as this, then do not be surprised to receive offers from marketers along these lines.

10 Blog Traffic Tips

In every bloggers life comes a special day - the day they first launch a new blog. Now unless you went out and purchased someone else's blog chances are your blog launched with only one very loyal reader - you. Maybe a few days later you received a few hits when you told your sister, father, girlfriend and best friend about your new blog but that's about as far you went when it comes to finding readers.Here are the top 10 techniques new bloggers can use to find readers.

These are tips specifically for new bloggers, those people who have next-to-no audience at the moment and want to get the ball rolling.

It helps if you work on this list from top to bottom as each technique builds on the previous step to help you create momentum. Eventually once you establish enough momentum you gain what is called "traction", which is a large enough audience base (about 500 readers a day is good) that you no longer have to work too hard on finding new readers. 10. Write at least five major "pillar" articles. A pillar article is usually a tutorial style article aimed to teach your audience something. Generally they are longer than 500 words and have lots of very practical tips or advice. This article you are currently reading could be considered a pillar article since it is very practical and a good "how-to" lesson. This style of article has long term appeal, stays current (it isn't news or time dependent) and offers real value and insight. The more pillars you have on your blog the better.

9. Write one new blog post per day minimum. Not every post has to be a pillar, but you should work on getting those five pillars done at the same time as you keep your blog fresh with a daily news or short article style post. The important thing here is to demonstrate to first time visitors that your blog is updated all the time so they feel that if they come back tomorrow they will likely find something new. This causes them to bookmark your site or subscribe to your blog feed.

You don't have to produce one post per day all the time but it is important you do when your blog is brand new. Once you get traction you still need to keep the fresh content coming but your loyal audience will be more forgiving if you slow down to a few per week instead. The first few months are critical so the more content you can produce at this time the better.

8. Use a proper domain name. If you are serious about blogging be serious about what you call your blog. In order for people to easily spread the word about your blog you need an easily rememberable domain name. People often talk about blogs they like when they are speaking to friends in the real world (that's the offline world, you remember that place right?) so you need to make it easy for them to spread the word and pass on your URL. Try and get a .com if you can and focus on small easy to remember domains rather than worry about having the correct keywords (of course if you can get great keywords and easy to remember then you've done a good job!).

7. Start commenting on other blogs. Once you have your pillar articles and your daily fresh smaller articles your blog is ready to be exposed to the world. One of the best ways to find the right type of reader for your blog is to comment on other people's blogs. You should aim to comment on blogs focused on a similar niche topic to yours since the readers there will be more likely to be interested in your blog.

Most blog commenting systems allow you to have your name/title linked to your blog when you leave a comment. This is how people find your blog. If you are a prolific commentor and always have something valuable to say then people will be interested to read more of your work and hence click through to visit your blog.

6. Trackback and link to other blogs in your blog posts. A trackback is sort of like a blog conversation. When you write a new article to your blog and it links or references another blogger's article you can do a trackback to their entry. What this does is leave a truncated summary of your blog post on their blog entry - it's sort of like your blog telling someone else's blog that you wrote an article mentioning them. Trackbacks often appear like comments.

This is a good technique because like leaving comments a trackback leaves a link from another blog back to yours for readers to follow, but it also does something very important - it gets the attention of another blogger. The other blogger will come and read your post eager to see what you wrote about them. They may then become a loyal reader of yours or at least monitor you and if you are lucky some time down the road they may do a post linking to your blog bringing in more new readers.

5. Encourage comments on your own blog. One of the most powerful ways to convince someone to become a loyal reader is to show there are other loyal readers already following your work. If they see people commenting on your blog then they infer that your content must be good since you have readers so they should stick around and see what all the fuss is about. To encourage comments you can simply pose a question in a blog post. Be sure to always respond to comments as well so you can keep the conversation going.

4. Submit your latest pillar article to a blog carnival. A blog carnival is a post in a blog that summarizes a collection of articles from many different blogs on a specific topic. The idea is to collect some of the best content on a topic in a given week. Often many other blogs link back to a carnival host and as such the people that have articles featured in the carnival enjoy a spike in new readers.

3. Submit your blog to blogtopsites.com. To be honest this tip is not going to bring in a flood of new readers but it's so easy to do and only takes five minutes so it's worth the effort. Go to Blog Top Sites, find the appropriate category for your blog and submit it. You have to copy and paste a couple of lines of code on to your blog so you can rank and then sit back and watch the traffic come in. You will probably only get 1-10 incoming readers per day with this technique but over time it can build up as you climb the rankings. It all helps!

2. Submit your articles to EzineArticles.com. This is another tip that doesn't bring in hundreds of new visitors immediately (although it can if you keep doing it) but it's worthwhile because you simply leverage what you already have - your pillar articles. Once a week or so take one of your pillar articles and submit it to Ezine Articles. Your article then becomes available to other people who can republish your article on their website or in their newsletter.

How you benefit is through what is called your "Resource Box". You create your own resource box which is like a signature file where you include one to two sentences and link back to your website (or blog in this case). Anyone who publishes your article has to include your resource box so you get incoming links. If someone with a large newsletter publishes your article you can get a lot of new readers at once.

1. Write more pillar articles. Everything you do above will help you to find blog readers however all of the techniques I've listed only work when you have strong pillars in place. Without them if you do everything above you may bring in readers but they won't stay or bother to come back. Aim for one solid pillar article per week and by the end of the year you will have a database of over 50 fantastic feature articles that will work hard for you to bring in more and more readers.

6. Build an email list. How many web sites have you visited? Have you visited a site, found something of interest, gotten interrupted, left the site and never returned? Of course you have. Don't let this happen to your visitors. Ask your visitors for a first name and an email address when they visit your site. Offer them something in return for that information. If they have some interest in your offering, but leave the site for whatever reason, you can email them later, reminding them to come back to your site. They may not purchase any of your products now, but if you stay in contact with them, they may purchase your products in the future. Plus, you can notify them when you have a new product that may be of interest to them. Remember, a lost visitor is a lost sale.

7. Don't hide behind a web site. I am amazed at how many web sites I see with no name or contact information. Most people prefer to do business with someone with a real name, someone they can contact, someone they can get to know. Provide your real name, and an email address on your website so potential customers can contact you with questions, and see there is a real person behind that website. I even recommend a "Who Am I" page on your web site that gives insight to who you are as a person. This builds trust. However, I would keep your phone number and mailing address private until you know people contacting your are worthy of your trust.

These sales page benefits may seem exaggerated, but they work and they aren't uncommon. Search Automator Pro is not free but it does create some results that could well be very valuable to you as time goes by. It lets you search for specific types of files such as PDF, html and xls for example.

So you could follow on from our last example and search for “relieving asthma breathing difficulties” and only bring back searches for PDF files! This can help you to become an expert of your niche.

You will obviously have your own chosen keywords to suit your particular chosen niche, but there will likely be thousands of results returned for a given search term and file type. You don’t have to use this type of software; you could simply use any search engine to do your searches.

If you decide to purchase the software it is at searchautomator.com. The search engines such as google.com will provide very useful information if you use their free advanced search options.

All you need to do is enter your search term using Google’s advanced search facility, and then refine your answers to show only the type of files you want returned. As an alternative to Google you could use scribd.com which is a free online library of information.

So far we have looked at how to research a potential niche, and how you might find product or even create your own product that can be suitable for that niche. We should now take a look at how you can become more familiar with your niche so that you might better understand your customers.

Ideally you would want to become an expert on your particular niche, as this helps you to better understand your niche and what your potential customers require from those they purchase from.

The fastest way to achieve success in any niche subject area is to make a product that solves somebody’s problems. If your product can actually help to alleviate some issue of concern, this will be a better seller than one that is simply a guide to a subject.

So you are better off creating something that people simply cannot live without, and that genuinely solves a problem for them, because once you have done this you will quickly find that your visitor numbers will increase dramatically.

If for example you had a health condition that caused you some discomfort (for example asthma) and were unable to move about like others without feeling shortness of breath, you would probably be tempted by a product that offered relief from the condition.

During your search online for help with this condition you found two eBooks on the subject. One was called “The Guide To Asthma: How To Cope” and the other eBook was called “Relieve Your Asthma Problem In Just Minutes each Day.”

Clickbank is a truly massive site for digital products, and definitely one of the places you should conduct a little research.

They are masses of books, videos and audio products on all sorts of subjects. The reason there are so many digital products is that digital products create huge profit potential.

After all, there is no printing or paper expenses and the whole process of selling them can be easily automated so that once you have it setup you never need to go back to it again.

If you don’t already know how to use clickbank, here is a quick rundown of what to do to find products.

1. Simply visit clickbank.com.
2. Click on the “marketplace” link on the very top of the screen.
3. You can then either choose from the category lists or enter certain keywords to find products that interest you.

It is a good idea to Sort the list that is displayed by popularity and also by gravity. Take note of how high the gravity is for everything you find that you like. The higher the better, because this means that this website’s product is selling well. List any with a gravity higher than 50.

You should compare all the ones on your list to see what type of products are being sold, and the prices of the products and even what type of package they are selling to truly get an idea for which is the best for you.

It is best to start with those that suit your own personal interests and hobbies. Research further into them to see if there are areas within the niche that are not being catered for.

You can make money from this if you can find a gap in the market. Even if the niche is very small that does not mean that you cannot make money from it. Remember, with a large niche will come a large amount of competition that you cannot hope to compete with. Better to choose several smaller niches to make money with than one larger niche market.

Could your current business or job become a profitable niche online? Do some research to see if it has much competition online. It could be something incredibly lucrative, and something that you might have overlooked at first.

Last time you get as far as searching through eBay completed listings looking for your particular niche market products, and as you can see the information displayed was really useful to you because it showed you the items that had been sold, and how much money the went for.

This method certainly takes out much of the guesswork that you might otherwise have to face, especially if you find items that are like the ones you would like to sell.

There are other great, but overlooked sources of free market research information you can use.

Consider magazines and books for inspiration. If you discover printed magazines on a subject, then there must certainly be a good market for that niche, as printed materials require an even greater expenditure than their online counterparts.

Companies will not enter a market unless they can profit from doing so, so you can take advantage of their market research. (Don’t treat your magazine store as a library - instead actually go to a library and seek inspiration there for free!)

That being said, many people do just stand around looking for information and never buying it, so you could just search your local bookstore and look through the magazines for subjects of interest. It is best to go for something you have an interest in yourself as this increase your chances of finishing the project and it will also therefore increase your chance of getting the money coming in as well!

The magazines will give you all sorts of useful information such as:

1. How long the magazine has been published
2. Information regarding the number of readers it has

You should also check on the competitors to your magazine. The more competitors to your magazine, the greater the interest in your niche (although too many competitors means too much for your to compete with, and a new niche may be required)

You should also be conducting online market research, which is easier on the feet than standing in shops!

If you look at magazines.com or any online bookstore, for that matter, and enter some keyword phrases into the search bar, you will get some fascinating results.

Simply make lists of several magazines that you find interesting and use the free keyword tools I told you about to see how many searches there are for keywords that relate to the magazines subjects.

Take special note of all that have between 5,000 and 35,000 searches and just repeat the process until you have about 300 niches. You can now use this list to get ideas for your own niche market.

Although you do not want to enter an extremely competitive niche where you cannot compete against the big guns, so to speak, you also do not want to be the only one in a niche that does not attract enough traffic to make a satisfactory amount of money from it.

So let’s assume that for whatever search term you entered there was a price range of $0.20 to $0.80 or whatever it is. A sub niche market of whatever you are looking for might be only $0.10 simply because it is a sub nice of the main market. It is good news for you as you can be competitive at that price, but again depends on if the niche is popular enough.

Obviously just because you can be competitive does not mean that you might be able to make satisfactory money by writing an ebook about that sub niche, but the cost of your clicks would be extremely cheap, and you would not need to spend much money to find out. You could use this simply to help the spread of your free ebook.

But you may be wondering why you would even want to give the report away for free?

One answer is that this would make for an inexpensive way of building a list for your niche. You could then start to email your list with offers of products related to your niche market and generate affiliate income. The bigger your email lists the more profit you can make regardless of niche market.

You should consider using eBay because this site is a great tool to use for your research on almost any number of niche markets! Just as with Amazon, eBay will have already completed most of the research you need to do for you. The number of available resources on eBay is immense, and it’s tempting to spend a lot of time using them all to try to find the ultimate niche market, but you cannot risk doing this! You have to get on and pick one, so that you have at least got under way with something (you can always come back at a later time and choose another niche market and start making money with that - as long as you are actually making money you have time to procrastinate)

Login to eBay (if you do not have an account register with them and get one) and then go to My eBay. On the left of your screen there will be a long search bar. You will need to type into that bar the keyword phrase for the niche market you are researching. You will now see all the listings for that keyword phrase that are live.

Scroll down the screen whilst looking at the far left hand side for the tick box next to "completed listing". As soon as you click it, the screen refreshes with all the recently completed listing for that market. This information is important and of great use to you as you see the prices reached for those items and exactly how many there were, enabling you to determine niche market popularity.

Niche marketing: Importance Of Keyword Selection Quality

Last time we got as far as doing keyword research on products you might be interested in selling.

This time we need to expand on that, as we have only looked at one level of keywords. We need to drill down through the keywords several more times to get to the keywords we can be competitive on.

By this I mean that a new site cannot be competitive on a single keyword term like "marketing". If you checked the number of searches carried out for the term marketing, you would see that there are a huge number each month, and by the same token there will be huge competition from those catering for that search term.

If you went through the list of keywords displayed for the term marketing, you would see other keywords listed which contain the term marketing.

For example, you would see internet marketing, affiliate marketing and article marketing etc.

You start seeing ever longer keyword phrases which you can be competitive on, as these have less searches per month, and therefore less competition (longer keyword phrases are known as long tail keywords)

You ideally want to strike a comfortable level between keyword phrases which have a high enough level of searches each month to generate leads, and a low enough level of competition to enable you to be competitive and turn a profit.

Of course, that all sounds great for me to write, but how the hell do you actually do this in reality?

There are some free tools available which I recommend you use to get a feel of the market, and your place within it (I use all of these myself everyday, although I do not yet have a clear favourite - maybe Google if pushed!).

When you have chosen a good list of products which relate to niche markets you are interested in getting into, you will want to use free keyword software to explore how competitive an individual niche market is.

You could start a viral marketing "virus" with a free offer or giveaway, and let it spread.

Everybody loves free stuff. If the free stuff is actually something useful, then that’s even better.

Many of us have stuff on our pc's that we have downloaded for free and never actually make use of.

We swapped our email addresses for all this free stuff, but then it turned out the stuff was not what we hoped it would be.

In other words if you are going to give out free stuff in the hope of kick starting your viral campaign, you would have more success if the stuff was actually useful.

You need to consider what it is that people can actually use. If you just give them some rubbish gimmick, then that wont work.

But even with a true quality freebie, what makes it go viral?

Even with the greatest free gift imaginable, what is it that makes anyone take the time to pass it to their friends?

You need to give them a real reason to do so!

If there are affiliate links within the product, then people will be motivated to share the item in order to generate money from the spread of their own link.

Free templates will often have a link near the copyright notice. If these links were pointed to an affiliate program, and if whoever who shared your free template could then replace those links with their own affiliate link then this could be a motivator.

Anyone would be motivated to share something if they believed that they might make money from doing so.

Building Traffic by Giving Out A Free Report

If you have been reading this blog for some time, you will now be aware that everyone loves to get something for free.

So if you offer something for free on your website you are just giving the people what they want.

This technique is certainly nothing new, the idea has been around for ages.

But how do you give your free report to those people that you might never otherwise have a chance to contact?

How can you ensure that people will really want to forward your report to any of their contacts?

I just want to go over some of the techniques of giving away free reports and ebooks to build a list of customers.

Essentially you offer something free on your web site, and in order to receive it people have add their email address to your list.

You simply place a sign up form linked up to your autoresponder, aka an opt in form, and set it up so that whatever you are offering is emailed to them, be it the product itself or the download link to it.

But it does not have to end there. You would not be satisfied with only the one email address.

You will also be including affiliate links within your free product.

As you know, you will sign up to be an affiliate for a particular product which is related to the subject of your report, place your affiliate link within your report and then get paid commissions if someone purchases a product.

This does get you further along than simply using a plain old report, but you really need to step up a gear with this.

You might want to consider giving away the very same free report but with those links customized.

There is software known as PDF rebranding software that lets you edit the links within the report so that they are replaced with your affiliate link.

Since you have given someone a genuine reason to forward your report on to others, they themselves will be able to make some money doing so.

And as that person may not have previously been an affiliate of the product you have referred them to in the report, you would probably be entitled to a second tier commission, depending upon the number of tiers supported by the scheme, as they have become an affiliate underneath you.

In addition to this, if you have left a link back to your own web site in the report, then you have placed your link in front of another possible site visitor.

Tell-A-Friend scripts are just one way that you can make it happen.

These scripts are really quite simple and they do not require any complicated programming on your part.

You can normally simply copy and paste a script into your intended page.

Tell-A-Friend scripts come in many different forms, but you would do better if you find a script which has the ability to subscribe people directly into your opt-in email list.

A few other things which you might want to consider looking for in a TAF script is the ability for full customization, the option to send to an unlimited number of intended target recipients, the ability to recognize and block an invalid email address, and also one that can provide you with a detailed usage statistic.

USING CLICKBANK WITH SEARCHFEAST!

Another program that I would very much like to show you, which is again for Clickbank products, actually allows you to have a Clickbank Search Engine for your website.

The program is called SearchFeast (the link can be found at the bottom of this post)

The way that searchFeast works is by the addition of a very small amount of code placed onto your webpage that will then create a one time only pop under that your site visitors will see.

Then, as they leave your site they will be presented with a search page. If they do decide to use the search page you create and actually find something they like and buy it, you will then earn the commission for it from Clickbank.

It is also possible for you to preload a keyword search of your own choosing, if you so wish. Plus you could brand your search portal with a link you like so that there is more advertising for your own business right there.

If you would rather not install a pop under or you do not have anywhere to install one, you could still send traffic to your search page in other ways.

The popunder is not one of those annoying things that will likely deter your visitors, in fact it will only load once per browser session. Still, there are always those persons who will not like it.

In viral marketing, one of the most important factors governing the success of any program is how easy to use.

The programs I am writing about here basically all offer a very user friendly experience which enhances their overall effectiveness.

You now have access to collections of programs and services which should, over time, grow your Clickbank business.

But there is always more to do, and indeed we have not finished yet.

CBProAds has loads of features for Clickbank affiliates, even with the free service option.

Basically CBProAds lets those with sites or blogs place a little bit of code on their pages which generates contextual ads, all of which are linked to products in the Clickbank marketplace.

The ads are really very configurable to your target market. You get rewarded per sale and there are both text and image ads.

In this post I would like to combine my interest in viral marketing techniques with the joy of clickbank!

I want to get you earning clickbank commissions using viral marketing techniques, or at least techniques that are so low cost that they have a negligible effect on your cash reserves.

Here are a few reasons why most new marketers are attracted to clickbank:

A. You should purchase the PLR rights to an ebook, which will then allow you to edit its contents, and which you can then give away for free and allow whoever downloads it to do the same on their site. B. Find websites that allow you to give away products for free. Although you are unlikely to be able to edit the contents of the products, there is nothing to stop you including your own internet shortcuts and other items alongside the main product within the download.

There is a great way to promote your site for free, and this method can increase your site traffic and sales.

Articles.

It’s the easiest way of earning money.

This is how it works.

You should write articles that relate to your site content and then submit them to the free content submission website. This is easier to do than it sounds and will quickly start increasing your earnings.

How does this increase traffic and your income?

Included in your article you will put a link to your own site. After someone ahs read your article there is a good chance that they will click on the link and go to your website (where you are going to sell them something, right!)

And because that article is on a free website, then other people may use that article on their site, and that link to your site will still be within in the article, for people to click on.

This has the effect of that site linking to yours, which google will love.

Your list of articles will grow larger and larger (as your going to keep writing them aren’t you?) and as they start appearing on different sites, therefore the amount of incoming links increases.

The search engines value incoming links when determining your ranking in the search results.

The greater the number of incoming links a website has, the more value a search engine will place on that website, and increase its prominence in the results list.

If you have a site which promotes products or services, the links that have been created by your articles will mean a greater amount of potential customers for you. Even in the event that your visitor only browses through your site, you never know, they may see something they like and come back later to buy.

There are many people who have certain ideas already in mind but they are unable to decide between all the choices available to them. There is a good chance they may stumble upon an article of yours, is interested in the content of that article, then go to your website and purchase an item (or click upon an affiliate link, if that’s what’s on your site)

Of course, just like an article submitted to the article sites, a blog post is another great place to get links to your own site (although there is far less chance that your post will be copied and submitted by anyone to any other site, so your links will not be intact)

HOW TO FIND GOOD AFFILIATE PRODUCTS

Choosing the right affiliate product is really important, and I would like to show you what to look out for in a good product.

RESELL RIGHTS

Resell rights give you the right to resell a product and whoever buys it has it only for their own personal use. Master resell rights, on the other hand, give the buyer the right to resell the product themselves.
Owning the master resell rights is great if you can obtain them.

PROMOTE THE AFFILIATE PRODUCTS OF OTHERS.

You really shouldn’t try to create a product unless you know what you are doing, it is easier to promote other peoples products, than try to create your own.
Checkout the websites of affiliate marketing companies to see exactly what they have to offer before making your decision.
Clickbank is a great place to find good affiliate products that you can choose, or simply do a Google search for whatever type of products you are interested in.

DO SOME RESEARCH!
It is going to take time and effort to find the products others are searching for. What you want is to find something that lots of people are searching for but that doesn’t have much competition. One good place to do that is using Google adwords to see which words are getting searched for and how much advertiser competition there is for those keywords.

AFFILIATE MARKETING TECHNIQUES ON EBAY

USING THE POWER OF EBAY IN AFFILIATE MARKETING

I hope by now you have setup your ebay "about me" page. If not, do it today. It is an important marketing technique, as everyone who sees your "about me" page, will have the chance to click on any adverts or links you place there.

You can place banners and text links for almost anything on your "about me" page, safe in the knowledge that ebay will not remove them. Whereas, in your listings, there is a good chance that ebay will remove them, if they do not contain extra information about whatever product your listing is supposed to be about.

There is a way to cheat ebays listing checklist, so to speak, but you have to do it carefully, as you don’t want your listing to end early, before you have achieved your goal.

What you should is this:

Add an affiliate banner to your ebay listing, but remove the web address link that is attached to it (it helps if you have a knowledge of basic html, but a google search for help will do just fine) and either replace the link address with your ebay "about me" page web address, or simply add the text "click here for more information on the above product" beneath the banner, and link that line to your ebay "about me" page.

On your ebay "about me" page, you can repeat the banner with the link intact, and get the credit for any clicks on your affiliate link.

THE CREATION OF YOUR VIRAL EBOOK

When you choose the topic of your own viral ebook, you should really consider the amount of time you have available to write it. That is why you should choose something you are interested in, that way you can write it much quicker, as the words will really start to flow if you are writing about a subject you have knowledge of.

As well as being of interest to you, you have to make sure it is of interest to a large number of others, because you need others to pass the ebook on for you. So you should perhaps look at the most searched for keywords on the internet, or even use Ebays keyword tool, and write about a subject that you know is popular.

Of course if you do not have the time to write the ebook yourself, there is another alternative. You can hire someone to write the article you will use in your ebook for you. This person is known as a ghost-writer. The identity of this person will remain a secret to your readers, you do not have to let anyone know who wrote it for you.

The main benefit of having a ghost-writer is that these people will have a knowledge of a wide variety of subjects, and you will certainly be able to find one who can write about a subject you would like to create an ebook about. You can then concentrate on other aspects of your marketing, safe in the knowledge that your ebook will be created by an expert in the field.

You should ask to see an example of the ghost-writers other work, before you choose them to write for you. If you do this you will be sure that this person is suitable to write for you.

Make sure that the writer understands exactly what you want your article to be about, how you would like it to flow, and any other aspects you would like including. You can purchase many things through affiliate programs, quite cheaply, that include giveaway rights, that you can convince people they really need, with the right advertising!
